Our annual West Virginia State Championship field target match has now been scheduled for June 24 and 25, 2006.  As you may have heard, this 104-shot, 2-day match promises to not only be challenging, but also to ensure a very unique and enjoyable field target experience is provided to each participant in every class.  Our state championship is the only field target match held in the entire state of WV each year, so we work hard to make it right.  Come and shoot or just watch, but please don't miss it.

Match One / Course A / 8 lanes, 2 targets each, 32 shots – Saturday 10am

Open field setting against a heavily wooded backstop. Level seating, range and shot angle. Highlights: Unusual wind patterns and mostly long shots. One off-hand lane (4 shots). T-rating 38 to 40 based on kz size, distance and wind.

Match Two / Course B / 8 lanes, 2 targets each, 32 shots – Saturday 1-2pm

Wooded section (New for 2006) Level seating, mixed level to up-hill range and shot angle. Highlights: Interesting target placements, close targets with small kz’s, can be windy (consistent direction depending on time of day) good mix of level and up-hill shots, no steep angles, mix of dark and sunny spots . One off-hand lane (4 shots). T-rating 38 to 40 based on kz size, distance, light/dark, wind, and angles. This track has it all!!

Match Three / Course C / 10 lanes, 2 targets each, 40 shots – Sunday 10am

Wooded section (First 10 lanes of original 16 lane course.). Level seating, with mostly up-hill shots, some steep. Highlights: Interesting target placements, good mix of near and far targets, can be windy (multi-directional), good mix of dark and sunny spots, some steep up-hill shots.
